February 2009 NHS Suffolk appoints eg: consulting to devise a forward strategy for its Healthy Ambitions Suffolk initiative.
January 2009 eg: consulting, in partnership with COVER, co-ordinates a regional seminar for the third sector with shadow minister of Charities, Nick Hurd MP. The event is scheduled for 1 May 2009 in Bury St Edmunds. Web-designer Andrew Stewart joins the team, helping smaller organisations develop their own websites. Working with Redbridge Carers the consultancy helps to secure a grant from Comic Relief to initiate a new advocacy project for older carers.
December 2008 eg: consulting becomes an NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations Approved Consultant, appearing in their on-line (and printed) Directory of Approved Consultants. The consultancy conducts its first annual review to assess client’s view on impact, effectiveness and value for money. Charity Commission select eg: consulting as approved external consultants to act as Interim Managers when charities find themselves in grave financial and managerial difficulties.
November 2008 As a Trustee of regional third sector infrastructural organisation COVER, Mark Ereira-Guyer is nominated to represent the third sector on the Government’s newly formed East of England Regional Economic Forum, chaired by Regional Minister Barbara Follett MP. The consultancy assists Suffolk Family Carers in securing success in the ITV/Big Lottery Fund’s People’s Millions competition to set up a Family Carers Café. London MPs Lee Scott and Mike Gapes become charity patrons and participate in charity’s AGM in east London. Director, Mark Ereira-Guyer is selected and participates in major regional leadership programme, LEAD East.
October 2008 eg: consulting is registered with the Institute of Fundraising’s Directory of Consultants. The consultancy completes a special anniversary annual review for carer’s organisation in Suffolk. Greg Clark MP (ex-Shadow minister for charities) attends special building refurbishment launch for Essex charity in Clacton, organised by eg: consulting.
September 2008 The original fundraising target for Harrow Carers is exceeded with exceptional results secured by eg: consulting. An evaluation report is completed examining its project work with older carers. British Council appoint eg: consulting to develop an external fundraising and profile-raising strategy for their international youth radio station The Selector. Third sector expert James Baddeley joins the consultancy team bringing a wealth of experience. He assists eg: consulting in completing a major evaluation project for West London-based disability charity, Community Link Up.
July 2008 The consultancy secures the involvement of actress Helen Mirren in the work of east London based charity, Redbridge Carers Support Service; and she agrees to become a patron (and makes a donation!). eg: consulting completes a new annual review for drug and alcohol charity, Open Road celebrating recent achievements.
June 2008 In partnership with Jelutong Communications the consultancy organises the involvement of actress Joanna Lumley in a special cathedral event for Family Carers, and helps in the completion of a Heritage Lottery funded project called Caring through time.
May 2008 eg: consulting co-ordinates the launch of an appeal and charity visit from Health Minister, Dawn Primarolo MP in Colchester.
